Principal's Message

Nighthawk Family,

 

I look forward to an academic and engaging school year.  We are constantly increasing opportunities for our students to partake in courses and experiences that will prepare them for life after graduation. We have expanded AVID, increased our AP courses, offer field trips to college campuses as well as numerous museums, and are now offering culinary arts courses.  We now have two college counselors to ensure all our students have opportunities to 

learn about university as freshmen. 

 

For our students who more inclined toward the arts, we have a full time dance teacher and are in the process of starting a folklorico group.  Our band is also increasing in numbers and participates monthly in parades across the city.  

 

It is an exciting time to be at Maywood Academy, where students thrive and staff enjoys teaching.

I look forward to meeting our new parents as we shape our students into successful citizens.
