The California Department of Education has released the 2018-2019 Smarter Balanced Assessment Results. We are proud to announce that our students made significant growth in both English Language Arts and Mathematics.
In English Language Arts, student scores improved by an average of 52 points compared to the year before. Our percentage of students meeting or exceeding the standards (an indicator of college preparedness), also improved by 23 percentage points.
In mathematics, student scores improved by an average of 25 points compared to the year before, and the percentage of students meeting or exceeding the standards improved by 11 percentage points.
Thee gains are amongst the highest in the state and demonstrate the commitment our students, families, staff, and community have towards promoting a strong culture of learning and high expectations for all students!
Our goal is for all students to not only graduate from high school, but to graduate from college and be career ready. We look forward to continuing to engage all stakeholders to make further gains and achieve our collective goals.
